If you are "just Muslim," it means you are sunni; it is not a sect, but a label to differentiate from other sects of Islaam: Shee'ah, Soofiyah, Qaadiyaani, etc. This is because they all claim to be following true teachings of Islaam while knowingly rejecting many points.
