Never Cry Wolf (1983) had a lasting impression on me. The actor, Charles Martin Smith, seemed to really embody the researcher (Farley Mowat) who was sent to study wolves in the Arctic. The story wasn't a dry, boring doentary. There were several instances in which Martin showed a lighter, humorous side, like having to eat cooked mice in order to survive and running naked among a caribou herd. I suggest that you rent a copy of this movie and follow the same story-telling style.
