When applying for a budgeting loan can they take repayments from child benefit?

No, they only take it off your income support or job seekers allowance but they will want to know exactly how much you have each week from tax credits etc to work out how much they will deduct - can I suggest you ask for a lot more than you need as they don't give you as much as you ask for, have you considered a Community Care Grant as you do not pay anything back, if you need an important item like a cooker or a heater etc, (don't ask for a washing machine or drier or bed as they wont give it,) you can apply for it but there is a section that you have to explain why you need this grant, your story must be very good to get it and again double the amount as you wont get as much as you ask for.
