My friends horse always gets colic. Please help ?

my friends horse get colic all the time when we go to events or just to pony club now, then after she rolls they walk her around and put her away and shes fine when shes in her stall again and fine at home, she does lay down in the paddock a lot, they think she gets nervous but i think she has something wrong internally, does anyone know anything about this>? shes only young she used 2 be poor but shes picking up but she could be better but i don't know if there feeding enough, please help, ill answer more questions if they are asked, i wanna tell them to get her checked but i don't know how they will take it because i think shes really sick!!
